India just recently crowned its ultimate representative for 65th edition of Miss Universe international beauty pageant. Roshmita Harimurthy wins as Miss Diva Universe 2016. She was crowned by her predecessor Urvashi Rautela during the final coronation night of India's most prestigious pageant. Roshmita is now set to prepare herself for the international stage of pageantry as she is expected to banner her country's flag to the upcoming Miss Universe 2016 beauty pageant. Roshmita will now start to prepare for her beauty pageant training to further improve her pageantry skill before coming to the Philippines next year.

The new Indian beauty queen, Roshmita Harimurthy, bested 16 finalists vying for Miss Diva Universe 2016. Roshmita is the fourth edition's winner of Miss Diva Universe 2016. The national pageant was held on the 1st of September in 2016. Miss Diva 2016 beauty pageant was hosted by former Miss Universe 2000 Lara Dutta, who was the second woman from India who won Miss Universe pageant. The venue of Miss Diva 2016 was held in Westin Mumbai Garden City, Mumbai, India.

The recently crowned Miss Diva Universe 2016 Roshmita Harimurthy is currently a local model in India. She was and currently featured by some local brands all over India. She stands 5 feet, 8 and a half inches tall. She is from Bangalore, Karnataka, India. Roshmita Harimurthy previously won Miss India Bangaluru (Bangalore) 2016, which gained her the license to participate Miss Diva 2016 national pageant in India.

Roshmita hopes to be the next successor of Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach who is the current reigning winner of the pageant. India already has two Miss Universe winners. Namely, Miss Universe 1994 Sushmita Sen who won the crown in the Philippines and the pageant's host, Lara Dutta, Miss Universe 2000. As for now, Roshmita is enjoying her moment as the newly crowned beauty queen of India, which can definitely change her life forever.

Miss Harimurthy is now scheduled for various beauty pageant trainings and workshops in order to improve her pageantry skills for the international stage. Since neighboring countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, and the Philippines already have their own beauty training camps, Harimurthy must have to double her effort to increase her chances for the semi-finalist spot for the 65th edition of Miss Universe. These include catwalk training, speech and communication improvement, make-up training, and personality development that can further transform her into a formidable candidate to slash the upcoming international beauty pageant.

Miss Diva 2016 first runner-up is Srinidhi Shetty. She is set to represent India for Miss Supranational 2016. Srinidhi hopes that she is the second woman from India to win Miss Supranational. Miss Diva second runner-up is Aradhana Buragohain. The appointment of Aradhana for an international pageant is still set to be announced by the Miss Diva Organization.

Miss Diva is a national pageant, which is a part of Femina Miss India. The winners of Miss Diva will be sent to international beauty pageants such as Miss Universe and Miss Supranational. Successful representatives produced by Miss Diva are Manasi Moghe, who was part of the top 10 in Miss Universe 2013. Srishti Rana was Miss Asia Pacific World 2013. Noyonita Lodh was Miss Universe 2014 top 15. Asha Bhat was the first Indian to win Miss Supranational in 2014.
