Maria Isabela Galeria representing Sorsogon has unexpected news that she does not want to hear it while concentrating on the pageant. This is a total nightmare for a pageant hopeful who wants to bring home glory from a national competition in honor of their province.

Maria Isabela Galeria just received a confirmation that she tested positive for the RT-PCR test of Sars-Cov2, responsible for causing the entire Philippines under different multitudes of lockdown. Her family member also tests positive for the virus, placing them under strict quarantine. While on quarantine, the patients are now under the medical care of the Department of Health responsible for managing the pandemic in the country.

Maria Isabela Galeria is currently representing her province Sorsogon for the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2020. She is the pioneering candidate of the first-ever edition of Miss Universe Philippines this year. The winner of the pageant will have the right to represent the Philippines in the upcoming Miss Universe beauty pageant where the incumbent winner, Zozobini Tunzi will relinquish her crown to her successor.

After receiving the announcement from the testing center, Maria Isabela then made an announcement to her social media after receiving the undesirable news about her health condition. She apologizes to all people wishing her for the upcoming pageant for Miss Universe Philippines 2020. She warns her previous close contacts to immediately report to their nearest health institutions or local government units for contact tracing. Maria Isabela asks her fans to pray for her including her family members.

Miss Universe Philippines will take place on October 25, 2020. It will take at least one month to select the new successor of Gazini Ganados who placed as one of the semifinalists of Miss Universe 2019. Isabela will have at least 14 days to quarantine and will have another test to determine if she is still eligible to participate in Miss Universe Philippines 2020. Isabela is praying for her fast recovery to come back to her normal routine as a pageant contestant.

Aside from being a candidate of Miss Universe Philippines, Maria Isabela is a registered nurse practitioner. She is also a health care frontline, who understands the nature of providing care for the patient.
