This 2017, there are two personalities who can transform their career into another level. This time, it will be in the senatorial race. The next Philippine Senatorial election will take place in the year 2019, which will select 12 new or re-elected senators of the Republic of the Philippines. There will be senators who will retire from their political career, there will be some who wants to seek re-election, and those who wants to elevate their ambition to become as the new Senators of the Philippine Republic in the future. The question is, who will you choose for the upcoming 2019 senatorial elections.
The recent Philippine National Election was held on May 9, 2016. Out of five qualified politicians running for the President, it was Rodrigo Duterte who won as the 15th President of the Philippines with a total of more than 14 million votes. Coming close to a second place finish is former Senator Mar Roxas who was also a former Secretary to various cabinet seats of the government. Many believed that Former Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago would have been the mega star if Rodrigo Duterte declined to run for Presidency. Sadly, the Former Lady Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago succumbs to her chronic illness at the age of 71. Some say it was due to her chronic stage IV Lung cancer disease that already hampered her health condition even during the electoral campaign period.

During May 9, 2016, elections, there are 12 candidates who made it as the official senators of the Philippines. Namely, Franklin Drilon with more than 18 million votes while Joel Villanueva is on the second place. Vicente Sotto III ranked as third while Panfilo Lacson gained the 4th spot. Richard Gordon and Juan Miguel Zubiri made it to 5th and 6th spots. Boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao made it to the 7th spot. Francis Pangilinan, Risa Hontiveros, and Sherwin Gatchalian reached the 8th, 9th, and 10th spots. Ralph Recto and Leila De Lima successfully claimed the 11th and the 12th spot for the Senatorial Race.
Among the 12 Senators, Franklin Drilon, Francis Pangilinan were always being tagged in social media along with Risa Hontiveros due to their rants against President Rodrigo Duterte. Duterte supporters are also tagging Leni Robredo who is also known to oppose some Duterte's vision and platforms. On the other side, Richard Gordon, Juan Miguel Zubiri, and Manny Pacquiao has been receiving positive feedbacks because they are in support for President Rodrigo Duterte. But there is one senator who is on top of them all as the only person who bravely standing against the Philippine President. And she is no other than Senator Leila De Lima, who is the most controversial woman in the Philippines.

Kris Aquino is known as the queen of all media. She is currently one of the most sought celebrities in the Philippine entertainment industry. Earlier, Kris Aquino mentioned that if she will run for a public seat, she prefer to start from a lower position before deciding to run for a national public seat. This is to concentrate on the local public governance to master the grass roots to remote communities. After gaining experience in the local level, this will be the time for her to engage in national elections by running for a higher position such as to become a member of the House of Representatives. A higher position can be also a possibility for her if she already possesses long-term exposure as a politician to run for a senator and perhaps, replicating her parents and brother to run for either vice-presidency or presidency.
SARAH DUTERTE
One lady is also surging as one of the most popular lady politicians in Philippine Politics today. She is no other than Sarah Duterte, which is the daughter of the Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte. Sarah Duterte also recently won as the Mayor for Davao City, succeeding her father as the former mayor before running and winning the Philippine Presidency. Sarah Duterte was also a mayor of Davao City from the past years. This means that Mayor Sarah Duterte is a veteran politician for serving as a public servant for several years in Davao City.

Sarah Duterte is married to Manases Carpio, which is nicknamed as "Mans", legally identifying her complete name as Sarah Duterte-Carpio. The couple has two children; namely, Sharky and Stingray. Manases Carpio is the nephew of the current ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales. Sarah Duterte and Manases Carpio are both licensed practicing lawyers under the Integrated Bar of the Philippines. Sarah Duterte previously worked as a lawyer before entering the world of politics when she became a Mayor of Davao City.
A few days after the Davao City blast in a night market, Sarah Duterte faced one of the most pressuring tasks as a public servant when she intensified peace and order across Davao City. As a mayor, she is responsible for mandating the security of Davao City by working late at night for several days while she is due to give birth to a set of triplets. The mayor is tasked to monitor her city's ongoing investigation regarding the recent blast incident where it lost 14 lives and several dozens injured. A few days after the blast, she suffered a sudden abdominal pain and sought for a medical attention. After a series of undergoing medical examination, Sarah was informed that two of her babies were no longer alive.
