She finally stated that she is extremely happy and satisfied being a first runner-up because it is a rare opportunity for a candidate to go that far even if they are close to getting the crown. However, the announcement mix-up was the most humiliating experience that she encountered, facing millions or even billions of viewers and fans from around the world that made her feel significantly dismayed.

The conclusion of Miss Universe 2015 was held in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States of America on December 20, 2015. Steve Harvey made a mistake for announcing the wrong winner. After initially announcing that Colombia is Miss Universe 2015, the elimination card clearly indicated that Miss Philippines is the rightful winner. A few minutes after announcing the wrong winner, the Miss Universe host returned back to the stage and corrected his mistake. After all what have had happened to her, she should have felt more at ease if Steve Harvey immediately approached her to say sorry for the announcement mix up. It made the experience more hurtful and created a more agonizing pain because words of apology could have been a key factor for relieving her stressful experience.
Miss Colombia Universe 2015 who is now Miss Universe 2015 first runner-up thought that Steve Harvey was just joking. However, she realized that Steve is actually telling the truth. She stated that she is just a woman with a weak heart who was easily hurt by the wrong announcement. She felt humilitated in front of the stage. After the pageant, Ariadna Gutierrez was seen crying. She stood in front with Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach who was then crowned as Miss Universe 2015. Candidates mostly from the Latin American countries approached and comforted Ariadna after the show. While Pia was congratulated by her closest peers during the pageant.
Ariadna is still happy for Miss Philippine's win because she thought that Pia made a great performance during the event.
