Atom Araullo is famously known as an on-camera talent of ABS-CBN. However, he recently resigned as a news reporter for the television network due to personal reasons. But netizens were speculating that his resignation was brought about by his political views in relation to the current political administration. Out of humility, he pulled himself as a field reporter, but still a member of ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs team.

Many netizens and other concerned citizens are still confused if this reported issue regarding Atom Araullo's resignation is true. To clear things out, Atom resigned as a news reporter, which means that he will no longer be seen reporting latest news and current events on camera in either live or recorded report. Even though Atom resigned as a reporter, he can still be seen on-camera because he did not include his resignation as an on-camera talent to his mother network. This means that you can still see him in front of the camera, hosting several television shows such as "Umagang Kay Ganda" and "Red alert".

Atom Araullo is a Filipino news broadcast journalist and an on-camera talent of ABS-CBN television network. He was seen as a field reporter, being tasked to report live events to various areas around the country, detailing several breaking news reports and other related current events on-camera. Atom is now 33 because he was born on October 19, 1982. He is still a bachelor, which means that he might still be available for those searching for a single and a successful man.

In early life, Atom grew up in a household where his parents were involved with political activism. His parents were a critic of the late president Ferdinand Marcos due to his dictatorship in 1980's. Atom's parents eventually introduced him to several extracurricular activities by attending theatre workshops and exposing him to sports events.  Since then, he became competitive by participating theatrical competitions. His exposure to sports transformed him to become a regular triathlete participant, joining to various triathlete competitions in Manila and other provinces of the country.

As for Atom's educational background, he attended and accomplished his elementary education at the Ateneo de Manila. He qualified the entrance exam and eventually enrolled at the Philippine Science High School for his high school educational program. Atom passed the UPCAT (University of the Philippines College Admission Test) and then enrolled at the University of the Philippines-Diliman campus. He took up Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics.

During his college days, he was prominent in extracurricular activities, being known to participate as a member of several organizations while enrolled as a college student at the University of the Philippines. It is no surprise that Atom is a prominent student activist during his college days due to his involvement with several school organizations during his college days. He became as a councilor of UP Diliman University Student Council as well as becoming a member of the Student Alliance for the Advancement of Democratic Rights (UP STAND-UP). Atom also became one of the members of LFS (League of Filipino Students).

When Atom Araullo was still a child, he was already recognized by the public as an on-camera talent, being featured in some television variety shows. Since then, he started hosting several programs where fame already reachable through his hands.

Atom Araullo slowly rose to fame when he started working with ABS-CBN. Since he signed a contract with ABS-CBN as part of the News and Current Affairs team, he became a field reporter for the television network. He hosted Breakfast in Studio 23, Kabataan Xpress Sports, National Quiz Bee, and Kalye: Mga Kwento ng Lansangan.

On August 28, 2016, Atom made a statement with regards to the circulating issue of his resignation with ABS-CBN as a field reporter. There were numerous speculations and misconceptions that were raised online.

As based on his statement, Atom mentioned that "as for the clarification, he quietly resigned as a news reporter for ABS-CBN. This was already a few weeks before hand in order to explore other endeavors of his professional career. He still works as an on-camera talent for ABS-CBN. His political views was not a factor that prompted his resignation". Atom respectfully thanked all issues expressed by the members of the social media and is willing to look forward to any debates that will come in the future.

Atom was recently tagged by several social media users regarding his political views on the past and current administration. This was due to the issues connected to the burial of former president Ferdinand Marcos in the Libingan ng mga Bayani or Heroe's cemetery.
