Another Philippine pride made it into the world of male pageantry. This time, it is under the name Karan Singhdole from the Philippines made it as the newest titleholder in the Man of the Year 2016 male pageant. Karan is the first male titleholder from the Philippines to win Man of the Year international pageant. Singhdole's recent win is just the latest streak of international beauty pageants that has been slowly claimed by the Philippine delegates from around the world.

The venue of the event was hosted by the Grand Central Hotel Pekanbaru that is located at No. 1 Tampan, JI. JenderalSudirman, Riau, Indonesia. It was televised live in mainstream media such as television programs as well as live streaming websites available worldwide. Man of the Year 2016 international male pageant was held on the 20th of August 2016. This is the first edition of the pageant that pioneered in Indonesia.

As based on the name, Karan Singdhole is a full-blooded Indian. He is a 23-year-old student taking up Bachelor of Science in Hotel & Restaurant Management in STI college in Santa Rosa, Laguna. Karan is also a local fashion and commercial model. Although he is a full-blooded Indian, he is 100% Pinoy by heart. He is proud to represent the country where he was born and grew up.

Karan dedicated his participation to his father, who is currently suffering from cancer, which is a life-threatening disease. He was always optimistic as a contestant of Man of the Year male pageant while competing in Indonesia. The prize money that he won from the competition will be partially rendered to his father's medical expenses to help ease signs and symptoms of cancer. These include medicines, therapies, and other medical rehabilitation to reduce any signs and symptoms of the disease.

The Man of the Year pageant is a stepping stone for Karan to be privileged enough to enter more rooms for opportunities. He recently stopped schooling so that he will have more time focusing on his father's ailment at home. Karan decided to continue modelling to acquire an extra income to pay for his father's medical bills of her father. Singhdole's participation to the male pageant has been supported by his family, relative, and friends that further boosted his confidence level in Indonesia.

Karan wore several high-fashion wardrobes created by international Filipino designers. He wore a Francis Libiran creation for his formal wear. Karan's National Costume was designed by Edwin Uy. Singdhole wore a swimwear creation designed by Olan Roque.

Karan wanted to thank all his supporters because he will not make it without them. He wishes to continue his inspirational win to the younger generations by not stopping to dream big in the field of their respective career in life.

Singhdole is the latest candidate to win an international pageant in the male category. Philippine delegates are considered competitive in international competitions due to intense preparations and possessing naturally gorgeous physical features.
