Clarissa Molina gained a back-to-back win as the new face of Nuestra Belleza Latina. She is now the reigning beauty title as the most beautiful woman in Latin America as the new Nuestra Belleza Latina 2016. Clarissa won the title in Miami Florida, that was held on May 22, 2016. She is the second woman from the Dominican Republic who won the title after two attempts.This makes her a new ambassadress for all aspiring beauty queens to never give up on their dreams as a future leaders of beauty pageants.

Her achievements indicates that it is not too late for everyone to try it again after failing to win on their first attempts. Remember, Pia Wurtzbach had two attempts before winning the license to win one of the most coveted crown in the Universe. She maintained positive vibe to herself and others in order to successfully reach her dream. As of now, she is now a successful international beauty queen, gaining the hearts of numerous pageant enthusiasts around the world. She is now a new inspiration for failed beauty contestants not to give up with their dreams.

As a back to back winner, she has been crowned by the outgoing winner of Nuestra Belleza Latina 2015, Francisca Lachapel where she made history by being the first contestant from the Dominican Republic to win the title last year. Clarissa Molina also made another historic win by being the first from the Dominican Republic who won the back-to-back title since the pageant started in 2007.

Nuestra Belleza Latina is termed as "Our Latin Beauty", which is an international beauty pageant event produced and directed by Univision network. It is a reality show that will host aspirants to stay at a secured residence while giving them weekly challenges such as photo shoot, runway show, and entertainment related activities. The show selects and screens Latin applicants until there will be only 12 aspirants who aim to become the most beautiful woman in Latin America. The weakest performer for each week either gets eliminated, resigned, or removed from the competition. The top performing contestant for each week will have the opportunity to be rewarded with gifts, contracts, or a service opportunity.

The second place or the first runner-up is Setareh Khatibi from Mexico. 3rd placer is Catherine Castro from Puerto Rico. 4th place is Barbara Turbay from Colombia. 5th Place is Ligia de Uriarte from Mexico. 6th Place is Patricia Corcino from Puerto Rico. 7th place is Josephine Ochoa from Guatemala. 8th place is Nathalia Casco from Honduras. 9th place is Zoila Ceballos from the Dominican Republic. 10th and 11th places are Anna Valencia and Berenice Guzman from Mexico. 12th place is Lisandra Silva from Cuba.

Molina joined previously in 2015 where she competed against last year's winner Francisca Lachapel. She reached top 4 and finished the fourth spot or the 3rd runner-up.

Clarissa Molina will now carry the banner of Nuestra Belleza as the new brand ambassador for the whole year. She will be expected to pass the crown to the next winner that will be held next year.

If Clarissa cannot fulfill her duties as the winner and ambassadress, she will be replaced by the reigning first runner-up Setareh Khatibi from Mexico.


Miss Universe 2015

Clarissa Molina


Clarissa Molina joined the 64th annual Miss Universe pageant that was held in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was chosen as one of the semi-finalists during the coronation night of the said pageant. She was ranked as top 7, just behind Miss Curacao Kanisha Sluis.

Prior to joining Miss Universe, she joined Miss Dominican Republic 2015 by representing Espaillat. She won the pageant, giving her the license to represent the Dominican Republic in Miss Universe 2015 competition in the United States.

She also participated in Miss Tourism International 2012 but was unplaced.

The pageant was won by Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach from the Philippines.

As for her personal life, Clarissa was born in Santiago de los Caballeros in the Dominican Republic on September 23, 1991. She moved to the United States when she was 11 together with her brother and his wife in New York City. She eventually moved to New Jersey at the age of 15.
